Scholarship Application

Think of scholarships as gifts; they do not need to be repaid. Some scholarships for college are merit-based. These scholarships are earned  by meeting or exceeding certain standards set by the scholarship-giver and are granted at their discretion. Merit scholarships might be awarded based on academic achievement or on a combination of academics and a special talent, trait, or interest. Other scholarships are based on financial need.

Colleges and universities offer many scholarships within their institutions; others may come from outside sources such as corporations or special interest groups.  In any case, to be granted a scholarship, an application and writing supplement or supplements must be completed.

At College & Prep, we will help you to locate scholarships that complement your skills and expressed talents and mesh with future aspirations.  We will also assist with all aspects of application completion beginning with your selection of which scholarships are your best-fit to your choice of  recommenders, resume work, and support and feedback on each specific writing component.
